Getting to Comboyne is a beautiful drive!
From Wauchope Drive west along the Oxley Highway approximate 10km from Wauchope. Turn left following the signs to Comboyne for approximately 35 km taking in the dramatic Bago escarpment and rural scenery along the way. Just follow your nose and you will get there. This road is sealed the entire length.
From Kew Drive through Kendall following the road past the Kendall Club and the school. Drive approximately 35 km through stunning rainforest and State forest areas. This road is in good condition, but not sealed. You need to take the corners carefully. Just after you reach the sealed section, turn left at the T intersection. You are now in the outskirts of Comboyne.
From Wingham Cross the railway line near Wingham station and turn right. Follow your nose to Comboyne. The road is unsealed once you start climbing except for a short stretch at Killabakkh. The road is in good condition and passes through some stunning rainforest, however, there are some narrow sections and you need to drive carefully.
From Forster Turn right onto the Pacific Highway and then take the Taree turnoff to the left. Follow the signs to Taree and then the Wingham. After that see above. There is a shortcut that bypasses Wingham along Shorts Rd, but you are best to Google that one and its pretty rough.
Petrol and ATM now available at the Comboyne General Store
